About the Lab
My lab is located in the Department of Ecosystem Science and Management and I am faculty in the Intercollege Graduate Degree Program in Ecology at Penn State University. We address a key challenge in ecology - understanding and predicting properties and dynamics of aquatic ecosystems when the dominant pressures being exerted on aquatic ecosystems today operate across broad spatial extents and at multiple spatial and temporal scales. Consequently, to fully understand ecological systems, it is critical to merge local-scaled studies within a macroscale framework for understanding the effects of anthropogenic and natural processes on aquatic ecosystems.
